Shipping Policy

Effective Date: August 19, 2026
Last Updated: August 19, 2026

Distriq Distribution coordinates freight on behalf of our customers as part of the wholesale ordering process. Shipping terms, costs, and timelines are determined on a per-order basis and communicated before your order is finalized. Please review this policy carefully so you understand how shipping works.

This Shipping Policy is incorporated into and forms part of Distriq Distribution’s Terms & Conditions. If there is a conflict between this Shipping Policy and an accepted Distriq quote or written agreement applicable to a specific order, the specific quote or written agreement controls.

1. How Shipping Works

Freight is not included in product pricing. For every order, Distriq Distribution will obtain freight quotes based on your location, order size, weight, and current carrier rates. The freight cost will be presented to you as part of your formal quote before the order is confirmed.

By accepting a quote, you agree to the freight charges outlined in that quote. Orders are not fulfilled until payment, including applicable freight charges, has been received and confirmed, unless Customer has approved payment terms or Distriq otherwise agrees in writing.

2. Shipping Destinations

Distriq Distribution ships to approved business account locations. Shipping availability and rates vary depending on the destination. Deliveries outside standard service areas, including locations such as Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss shipping options for your location before placing an order.

3. Lead Times and Processing

Lead times vary depending on product availability, order size, supplier fulfillment schedules, and carrier capacity. Estimated lead times will be communicated to you at the time your quote is issued.

Distriq does not guarantee specific delivery dates. Any shipping, processing, transit, or delivery date is an estimate only unless Distriq expressly guarantees a date in a signed written agreement, and may be affected by factors outside our control. If you have time-sensitive requirements, please communicate them to us before placing your order so we can advise accordingly.

Distriq may make partial shipments when reasonably necessary due to product availability, supplier schedules, carrier capacity, or operational requirements. Unless otherwise agreed, each shipment may be invoiced separately or treated as part of the applicable order.

4. Carrier Selection

Distriq Distribution selects carriers based on order size, destination, and service availability. We work with freight carriers and logistics providers best suited for wholesale and bulk shipments. Customers may not specify a preferred carrier unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to order confirmation.

If Distriq agrees to use a carrier selected or arranged by Customer, Customer assumes responsibility for that carrier’s performance to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Special Order Items

Products designated as special order items may require additional lead time beyond standard fulfillment. Estimated lead times for special order products are provided on a case-by-case basis and will be disclosed prior to order confirmation. Special-order items are non-cancellable and may be non-returnable once Distriq has committed to the supplier, unless Distriq agrees otherwise in writing.

6. Risk of Loss

Unless otherwise expressly stated in a written quote, order confirmation, or agreement issued by Distriq, shipments are made under a shipment contract. Risk of loss passes to the customer when the products are duly delivered by Distriq or its supplier to the carrier for transportation to the customer.

Where risk of loss has passed to Customer, Distriq may, at its discretion, assist with a carrier claim. Such assistance does not constitute an admission of liability or guarantee reimbursement. Customer agrees to reasonably cooperate with documentation and claim requirements.

7. Delivery Inspection

Customer must make a commercially reasonable inspection of the shipment at delivery. Visible damage, shortages, or irregularities should be noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt or bill of lading before acceptance whenever reasonably possible.

Visible shortages, shipping damage, incorrect products, or other discrepancies reasonably discoverable upon delivery must be reported to Distriq within 48 hours after delivery, together with reasonable supporting documentation. Claims involving such readily discoverable issues that are not reported within this period may be denied to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Customers may be required to provide photographs, delivery receipts, bills of lading, packing materials, product labels, and other reasonable documentation necessary to investigate a claim.

Concealed damage that could not reasonably have been discovered at delivery must be reported promptly after discovery and within any applicable carrier claim period. Customer must preserve the products, packaging, and shipping materials until the claim is resolved or Distriq authorizes disposal.

For full details, see our Returns and Refund Policy.

8. Shipping Information and Accessorial Charges

Customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information, including delivery address, receiving hours, contact information, dock or liftgate requirements, and other access requirements. Customer is responsible for additional charges resulting from inaccurate information, failed delivery attempts, redelivery, reconsignment, storage, detention, limited-access service, or other customer-caused delivery issues.

Customer is responsible for being available and prepared to receive delivery during the agreed delivery window and for providing any personnel, equipment, dock access, or other receiving capabilities reasonably necessary to unload or accept the shipment.

Additional carrier charges incurred because of delivery conditions or services not disclosed before shipment may be charged to the customer, including liftgate service, inside delivery, residential or limited-access delivery, appointment fees, detention, storage, reconsignment, redelivery, and similar accessorial charges.

Carrier-imposed adjustments resulting from reweighing, reclassification, address correction, accessorial services, or other carrier-assessed adjustments may be charged to Customer when attributable to the shipment or delivery conditions.

If delivery is delayed because Customer is unavailable, refuses delivery, lacks necessary receiving capability, or otherwise cannot accept the shipment, Customer may be responsible for resulting storage, detention, redelivery, reconsignment, or other carrier charges.

9. Freight Charges

All freight charges are non-refundable unless the return or issue is the direct result of a Distriq Distribution fulfillment error. In cases where Distriq is responsible for a shipping error, we will cover the cost of return freight and arrange for replacement or refund as appropriate.

Unauthorized refusal of a shipment may be treated as a customer-authorized return and may result in charges for outbound freight, return freight, storage, redelivery, handling, restocking, and other carrier or processing costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law and the Returns and Refund Policy. Please contact us before refusing any shipment.

10. Delays and Events Outside Our Control

Distriq Distribution is not liable for shipping delays or failures caused by carriers, weather events, natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, labor disputes, supplier failures or shortages, manufacturer recalls, governmental actions, embargoes, utility or telecommunications failures, cybersecurity incidents, transportation interruptions, carrier capacity constraints, or any other events beyond Distriq’s reasonable control. Distriq will provide notice of material delays or inability to fulfill an order when reasonably practicable. Where circumstances affect only part of Distriq’s ability to fulfill orders, Distriq may reasonably allocate available inventory or fulfillment capacity among customers.
